Utah State application fee of $87.00 applies and is paid separately to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI).

The Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit is one of the most widely recognized concealed firearm permits in the United States and is an excellent addition to your California CCW permit.

Having a Utah CFP can:

• Expand the number of states where you may lawfully carry while traveling (subject to each state's current laws).
• Provide additional reciprocity that a California permit alone may not offer.
• Simplify travel for business, vacations, road trips, and family visits.
• Give you greater flexibility when traveling across multiple states.
• Demonstrate additional firearms training from one of the nation's most respected concealed firearm permit programs.

Always verify the laws of every state you intend to visit before carrying a firearm. Reciprocity agreements and state laws can change.

BCI APPLICATION

Please bring the following with you:

• Your completed Utah CFP application.
• A current passport-style photograph.
• A valid government-issued photo ID.
• Payment for the Utah State application fee of $87.00 (payable according to the Utah application instructions).

Please read the application completely before class. Doing so will help ensure your application is completed correctly and will make the class process much smoother.

AAO will provide everything else you need to complete your application, including:

• Your required FBI FD-258 fingerprint card.
• Professional fingerprinting during class.
• A complete Utah CFP information packet.
• Instruction covering Utah firearm laws and regulations.
• Guidance through the application process.
• Review of your application to help ensure it is complete before submission.
• Mailing of your completed application packet to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification on your behalf.

The Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification currently charges an $87.00 application fee for non-resident applicants.

This fee is not included with your California CCW course and must accompany your Utah application.
